National Association for the Advancement of Colored People Tuesday, June 24, 2008 Dear Friends, The Cheltenham Area Branch NAACP cordially invites you to participate in our 8th Annual Freedom Fund Awards Dinner to be held Sunday, September 21, 2008 at the Flourtown Country Club, 150 McCloskey Road, Flourtown, PA, 19031. The reception will begin at 5:00 PM and the dinner/program will start at 6:00 PM. This year, we will present $500.00 scholarships to several deserving high school students from our area. We are also pleased to announce that two community leaders have been chosen to receive our prestigious Community Service Award for unselfish service to the community and unwavering support of the tenets promulgated by the NAACP. Mr. Donald Scott and Mr. Steven Tolliver are striking examples of leaders who help to make our communities better and stronger. In addition, Pastor Keith Hayward of LaMott A.M.E. Church, will be presented with the President’s Award for his exceptional commitment to the people of the Cheltenham/Philadelphia area. Individual tickets are available for $45.00 each or a table of eight at $360.00. The entrée choices for the evening are: Broiled Salmon with Dill Sauce , or Prime Rib. You may participate in this important event by purchasing ticket(s) and placing an advertisement in the souvenir journal. We have enclosed an advertising and dinner request form showing pricing information. The deadline for Ad space is September 6, 2008. The deadline to purchase tickets is September 13, 2008.
